Can anybody give me any information on replacing my heating/cooling unit?

I am in the market for a new HVAC system (inside and out). My home is 1300 square feet. I just received a quote for 6700.00. this is for a tappan unit. 3 ton, 15 seer 90%. i have never heard of this brand before and i was wondering if this sounds like a good deal. Also, i was wondering about this brand.
