Reverse Funnel Model For Internet Information Marketing

Friday, October 30th, 2009
Sean R Mize asked:

A reverse funnel is where you start by promoting a higher ticket product first, You expose people to a higher ticket product first. The disadvantage to that particular model is that if you’re just getting started on line, you don’t have the time or know-how to create $1000 or $5000 product. You have to start with that smaller ticket priced product.

What happens is that most people who have become successful on line start out with smaller ticket products and they do something similar to this. I’m just going to give you these numbers off the top of my head so they may not be exactly the same a week from now. But let’s just assume your goal is say $5000 a month. You might start out by creating a $10 product and you might sell that product until you’re doing a hundred sales a month at $10, that’s $1000 a month. At that point, you need to transform that product to $50 product. And then what you need to do is work with that product until you get that product to 100 units a month. Now obviously if you’re only doing a 100 units at $10 a month, a $10 product, if you switch to a $50 product, then you’re not going to do 100 units.

You might do 20 units or 25 units. The thing is you’re doing exactly the same amount of volume, but now you’re doing it with a $50 product. You may be only selling 20 of them the first month. Then next month, you sell 25 or 30 of them. You move that up until again you’re doing 50 times 100. Now you’re at $5000. A $50 product at a 100 units a month. Then what you do is introduce a $100 product, a $1000 product, or whatever the case is. The sane thing is going to happen. You’re going to do $5000 a month, but at $100, it’ll be 50 units. The $1000 will be five units. And then you’ll build that up over time. That’s you kind of marry or merge those two product funnels. Neither one of those product funnels is perfect. A lot of people on line will use a combination of those funnels.

What they’ll do is provide people with the opportunity to buy a low-priced item in month and a higher priced product the next month. Sometimes that allows you to get both ends out of your list. But, again, the very first thing that somebody is exposed to when they get to your list is going to dictate who they are.

Strategic Marketing Plan 101

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009
Eric Fetty asked:

As a part of business planning, having a strategic marketing plan is a signal of how well a companies mission and strategies fit with all the inside abilities and outside environment. You have to answer two questions when coming up with your marketing plan: How are you going to tend to competition and how are you going to put into practice the day-to-day procedures?

Once these questions are answered fully, you should make your strategy consistent in the products/services that you are offering. Some other areas that are important include routines and resources. You must have a very sharp style for the day-to-day routines. Included in this not only an expertise in the routines but also all the resources to execute them.

A great place to start in creating a strategy is to know what your larger goals are. To begin your research, find out how the market is and how your company will play in the market. If the market is considered good and your company is very strong, you should invest most of your resources to help continue to create the products and services that are driving your company to profit. If the market is good and your company is weak, you need to concentrate all your resources on making the company strong. If the market is weak and your company is strong, you should spend your resources on valuable marketing tools and sales policies.

Finally, if the market is weak and your company is weak, you should promote your company only to make profit. When the market regains strength, then you can focus your resources on a better product and more intense marketing strategies.

Situation analysis

In simple terms your situation analysis is the foundation of your marketing plan, and will give a clear “birds eye view” for the market and business your in. Remember all of that market research and competitive analysis you did for your business plan? You can refer back to that now as you will get the chance to use it again!

For your situation analysis make sure to clearly define:

Your current competition, this includes present as well as forecasted market share, and product or market segment focus Your prospects, including current market size and forecasted development Your practical evaluation of your own business, including weaknesses and strengths, plus a overview of your plan to overcome the weak points

There is so much information I could cover regarding strategic marketing plans but you will find this is a great place to start.

Information Marketing Secrets for Building A Profitable Service Practice

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009
'Bayo Akinola-Odusola asked:

What do you think the easiest solution is for attracting more clients and building an information empire fast is?

It’s creating information products that you own. I know without a doubt that it is the easiest solution for aspiring and existing service professionals but yet, many people fail to seriously consider information marketing as a way of achieving their dreams and goals. Sad, because if only more people knew the true power of infoproduct marketing and how to use it to build a profitable service practice and at the same time create an information empire in the process, I think if more people knew they’d investigate it in more detail..

What Drives You And Pushes Your Buttons?

When you’re in the process of building your consulting or coaching practice you’ll probably be thinking of a number of things. Among them will be how you can help and reach more people and how you can make a profit at the same time. Consulting and coaching can be both lucrative and rewarding at the same time. It’s sad therefore that a large proportion of the people that get started in these areas simply don’t succeed.

I have regular discussions with everyday people who either are about give up to or have given up totally on their long-standing dream of being a successful service professional, solo entrepreneur or small business owner. The end result is that they slide into the dreaded rate race and become 9-5 job seekers.

Not good…

So What’s The Solution?

People have always been and till this day remain hungry for information on all sorts of subjects that will help them become better in too many ways to mention. Information is currently, and will remain as something that will not go out of fashion anytime soon. The best move any service professional could make is to consider adding information marketing into the business offering.

Building A Profitable Service Practice And An Information Empire

Building a profitable service practice and an information empire is best done one product at a time backed by a solid business and marketing plan. You can build an information empire for yourself pretty fast when you start from what where you are right now with the knowledge you know right now. It’s the implementation that you’ll need help with.

Consultants, Coaches And Solo entrepreneurs Dressed Up And Nowhere To Go!

Most service professionals are highly skilled and highly talented professionals in their own right – and you know what? You don’t need to be an Expert right now. You just need to be able to convey what you already know to people who want to know about what you know. If you’re already out there practicing, i.e. you’re seasoned experts in your field the missing link to attracting more clients and profiting from your expertise is to create information products. You’ll need the appropriate marketing know-how to do this and it’s something that is easily learned.

Creating and offering info products could be your quickest path to building your service business on a solid foundation. A foundation that will last for many years because people will always want information that you know.

The effect is totally viral and spreads even when you’re no longer actively promoting yourself.
